Our instructors are chosen from the top aviation schools in the country. We recruit CFIs on the basis of personality, experience, and professional demeanour, and we feel that we have a great selection of instructors who can train you to fly in the world's largest airspace system: the Los Angeles Terminal Area.

All of our Instructors have keys to the aircraft, office, and classroom, and can train at any time. Our training is done one-on-one, at your convenience, and according to your pace of learning.

CFI rates are $49 per hour
(current as of November 2007)

Spencer F.
CFI, CFII, MEI

A CFI for 3 years, with ratings from American Flyers and ATP, Spencer brings his sense of humor (with a slight sarcastic side) to the business of flying. Spencer currently works fulltime.

Spenser P.
CFI

Owning two airplanes for personal use certainly makes an instructor adept at teaching you the particulars of flying in the Los Angeles basin. Meet Spenser, who when he's not out riding his motorcycle, might be caught in the sky in either his Cessna Skyhawk or Beech Sierra! (yummy) -- A local with the talent and experience you need, Spenser can get your ratings in a practical and friendly manner!

Elian B.
CFI / CFII / MEI

Mellow and by the book, Elian is your man for getting your ratings according to the FAA spec. If you respond well to the art of flying on your own, and need someone to coach you through the science, Elian is a great choice.

Marlon C.
CFI / CFII / MEI

A Fly Corona alumnus, Marlon is ready for evening flying! Available 6 days per week for your flying needs, and available to fly in the evenings, Marlon can help you achieve your aviation dreams without compromising your other obligations.

Eddie M.
CFI / CFII / MEI

Our friendly CFI from Texas, who began his training at our neighbor, John Wayne airport, Eddie enjoys teaching, and can always be found at our winged ranch with a smile. Available 5 days per week for weekday flying, Eddie is a great choice for your brain-bending aviation needs.

Kimbo L.
CFII

A special guest around the ranch lately....

Having difficulty with those holding patterns? Think a nice bite on the beak (yours, not Kimbo's) will inspire better answers? Get your flying knowledge from the O.G. himself, but bring those gifted crackers high and clear where he can see them -- and none of that veggie cracker nonsense. Kimbo is wise to your shenanigans and demands only the finest. :)

(Appearing randomly in the office lately, dual requires a logbook compatible with bite-and-peck manuscript. Also not FAA legal. Say hello next time Kimbo is in the office :) )
