These are the VISAs which we can currently accept at Fly Corona!:
M-1 "Student" Visa: If you already have an M-1 Visa, we can rent aircraft to you and provide training with no limit. TSA Approvals for flight training are required, and will incur TSA application fees. (appx $130) Our Part-141 approval is pending, but at this time we are unable to issue new M-1 Visas.
B-1 "Business Visitor" Visa: If you are visiting on a B-1 business visa, we can rent aircraft to you, and perform up to 22 hours of training per week. TSA approval may be required for training before we may begin.
B-2 "Tourist" Visa: If you are visiting on a B-2 tourist visa, we can rent aircraft to you, and perform up to 22 hours of training per week. TSA approval may be required for training before we may begin.
For other Visa types, please email the office at fly@flycorona.com so that we may contact USCIS for updated information.
If you ALREADY HAVE AN ICAO LICENSE, the process is very simple, and we recommend completing it HERE in the United States, as it takes 30 minutes and is free of charge.
If you insist on receiving your FAA license before travelling to the United States, please visit the FAA for further information. Expect the mail process to take up to 6 months.
You will need:
FAA Form 8400-3 (provided at the FAA office, completed in person)
Your VALID pilot's license as issued by an ICAO member state.
Your VALID medical certificate, as required by your pilot's license.
Your VALID passport
In exchange for these items, you will receive an FAA 8060-4, "Temporary Airman Certificate", which is a full and complete FAA license, and confers worldwide privileges. Your Permanent FAA License will be mailed to your home address within 6 months.
That's it!
With the above process completed, you are ready to rent our aircraft for your training or time-building needs.
We offer excellent dry-rate and block-rate pricing for multi-day time-building! Email Us for details!
If you DO NOT already have a license, and will need ANY kind of training for your pilot license, you need to understand the following steps:
You must contact us BEFORE starting this process so that we may validate you. This entire process will take 3-4 weeks, so please make your travel and timeline arrangements accordingly.
You will need to pay an Application and Fingerprinting Fee.
You will receive an Email Validating your Flight Training Request. This Email may take up to one week to arrive.
Up to one week later, you will receive an Email requesting you to get Fingerprinted. You must get fingerprinted by TSC, and YOU MUST BRING a copy of your training request and a current passport. Their website is here.
Your fingerprints will take 1-2 weeks to process, and you will receive an Email indicating "Permission to Initiate Training" has been granted. You're ready! We can now train you!
